An iconic outpost

John O’ Groats

John O’Groats boasts a rich history. The village was named after Jan De Groot, a 15th century Dutchman who ran a ferry to Orkney.
Our family’s part in this heritage started with a stall that was set up in John O’Groats in the 1950’s, which has now evolved into the ‘First and Last’ shop.
